As a way to celebrate one of the most beloved and emblematic traditions of the Mexican culture, The San Diego Civic Theatre will host the 2019 edition of the San Diego International Mariachi Summit Gala Concert.
This concert will feature performances by world renowned groups such as, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Sinfónico Champaña Nevin, San Diego Binational Symphony Orchestra and the Ballet Folklórico Internacional. These performances will be directed by professional mariachi trumpeter and conductor, Jeff Nevin and choreographed by Mexico's own, Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernández.
The San Diego International Mariachi Summit Gala Concert will be held on August 17th at 7:00 pm at the San Diego Civic Theatre, located at 1100 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA, 92101. The concert will be benefiting the Mariachi Scholarship Foundation.
